Take pumpkin seeds. It is known that pumpkin seeds can protect the prostate gland. It has a special plant hormone, and more research is being done to find out why they help the prostate.

A study have also found that tomato together with broccoli can help. The study was done at the University of Illinois, and found that tomato and broccoli together can reduce the chance of prostate growth. There are supplements on the market, but do thourough research on them, and usually, it is better to take the ingredients directly from the food or herbs rather than from the extract in the supplement. It was also found that too much animal protein can increase the risk of prostate cancer.

Research have found that diet and cancer is very closely related. Try to eat a lot of fruit and vegetable. USDA recommends eating a minimum of five servings of fruit and vegetable each day. Some nutritionists recommends eating nine servings each day.

Some other foods that help fight cancer are: apricot, carrot, beet, cabbage, garlic. These also help: apple, banana, orange, grapefruit, lemon, berries, cantaloup, watermelon, strawberries; cauliflower, leeks, lettuce, mushroom, sweet potatoe, brown rice, beans, almond, hazelnut, sesame, sunflower seed, walnut, parsley, extra virgin olive oil, and yogurt.
